The Orchard at Farnsworth Farms is a build-to-rent community built and owned by DAI and managed by Greystar in Sandy, Utah. The Orchard was created with a vision: to build a community that not only provides beautiful homes but also tells a story—one deeply rooted in the land’s history. Once a thriving apple orchard owned by the Farnsworth family, this special place was a beloved community staple for generations of families. It inspired the developer to design a neighborhood that honors its agricultural past while embracing modern living.

The Orchard at Farnsworth Farms
The Orchard consists of 96 townhomes and duplexes. The front-loading duplexes wrap around the perimeter while alley-loaded townhomes border the central amenities. Together, the homes achieve a net density of 9.6 per acre. DAI wanted to capture the charm and warmth of a simpler time while creating spaces where families can connect, grow, and make lasting memories. To carry out that vision, the Orchard offers a clubhouse, community gardens, whimsical playgrounds, and an event lawn in the heart of the community. The street names (Apple Cider Drive, Hayride Ridge Lane, Festival Farm Drive) are one of many details that evoke the cozy, agricultural theme of the land.
